Region's first USM medical alert device launched

Dubai-based UniCare has announced the launch of Careid, a USB device designed to help patients document and carry important medical information with them at all times. With the help of a programme created by UniCare, patients will be able to enter their personal details, emergency contacts, details of insurance provider, serious medical conditions and allergies by plugging in their Careid device to a USB slot on their computer. For diabetes and high blood pressure patients, the device also comes with a programme to maintain a log of their glucose and blood pressure readings.
