DM forms committee to organize Dubai International Food Safety Conference

As per the decision Mr. Khalid Sharif Al Awadhi, Director of Food Control Department will be the Chairman of the committee and Amina Ahmed Mohammed, Director of Accreditation Department, will be the Vice-Chairman. Other members include Sadiq Ahmed Al Attar, Head of External Collection Unit, Finance Department, Laila Abbas Mohammed, Principal Advertising Officer, Corporate Marketing and Relations Department, Bobby Krishna, Senior Food Inspector, Food Control Department, and Fatima Asfandyar Al Zarouni, Food Awareness Officer, Food Control Department.

Based on the decision, the committee started the preparations for the Dubai International Food Safety 2010 under the general supervision of the Assistant Director General for Health, Safety and Environment Monitoring.

The conference which is hosted by Dubai Municipality annually includes the best food safety specialists from international regulatory bodies such as the Codex Alimentarius and the World Health Organization, in addition to the educational and scientific institutions, as well as the private sector establishments in the area of foodstuff manufacturing and supply.

It is expected to be the largest conference of its kind in the Middle East, where specialists will be presenting the latest global developments in the food safety and it also provides a golden opportunity to exchange views with food safety experts at the regional and global levels.
