Implant Dentistry is now considered the medical standard in replacing missing teeth, either partial or complete, in selected patients. This method is often considered a conservative form of replacing missing one, two or more teeth without any changes to the adjacent teeth.
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) has been advancing the standards of this field since 1951. AAID's MaxiCourses are among one of the most respected and comprehensive training programs in Implant Dentistry, offered in university settings throughout the United States and internationally. The team of course presenters includes renowned university faculty, world-class clinicians and some of the world's top authorities in the field.
AAID stands for excellence in education, scientific development and patient care. The course will prepare the participants to obtain the bona fide credentials in implantology to meet the minimum educational requirements to take the Associate Fellow and Fellow Examinations of the AAID.
MaxiCourses provide 300 or more hours of lecture, laboratory sessions, live surgical demonstrations and home/office assignments. It is a non commercial, non sponsored course covering a wide spectrum of implant types and systems giving an in depth review of surgical and prosthetic protocols.
The program will be presented in five modules of six days each, over a 10-month period from October 2009 till August 2010. The faculty for the upcoming program in Abu Dhabi will be coming from the USA, Japan, the UK, France, Canada and Lebanon, and has been accredited by the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD) for 251 CME hours.
