Datamatix Gitex Conference 2009 progresses forward to its 2nd day today

The Datamatix Gitex Conference 2009 commenced its 2nd day today at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai, UAE.
The day's session focused on restructuring the government organization using the latest global ICT trends and best practices. The session began with the presentation of Mr. Ravi Chakrovarthy Tirumalai, Director (Programs), ISACA, Oracle, Singapore, which focused on Restructuring the Government ICT Infrastructures and Standards to Achieve Global Competitiveness. He said that the ultimate way to achieve global competitiveness would be through enabling ICT solutions through infrastructure integration, enhancing web services, grid services and service-oriented computing, and using operational business intelligence for decision making and developing advanced customer centric solutions.
Progressing the session, Dr. Heiner Kromer, Chairman & CEO, SECUDE AG, Dubai, spoke about the risk management and security to achieve competitive advantage in the case of oil & gas industry.
The day's session concluded with the presentation of Mr. Jorge Sebastiao, Manager BD Business Continuity & Managed Services, International Turnkey Systems, Bahrain, who focused on implementing new approaches of global ICT security management.
