After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the chief guest proceeded in visiting all the stalls together with ministry officials, diplomats, the top management of participating companies, medical professionals, and other distinguished guests.
Both Women Expo 2009 and MedHealth & Wellness 2009 are scheduled until Wednesday, October 21st, and the exhibitions are open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and then from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Since both are trade events, only visitors over the age of 16 will be allowed entry to the two exhibitions.

Diab pointed that the two exhibitions, which are held alongside each other, have a combined total of 133 local and international exhibiting companies. In addition to the strong presence of leading companies in Oman, Women Expo and MedHealth & Wellness 2009 feature exhibitors from over 20 countries, including Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the UAE, UK, and the USA.
Supported by the Ministry of Health, MedHealth & Wellness 2009 is participated in by a large number of international hospitals offering medical tourism packages to patients, medical equipment suppliers, pharmaceutical firms, hospital infrastructure planners, medical services providers, and other companies dealing in alternative therapies, hospital supplies, and other health products and services.

Women Expo 2009, on the other hand, is the only exclusive event for women in Oman, and it focuses on all types of women's products and services. First launched in 2005, the international exhibition showcases not only jewellery, cosmetics and other beauty products but also career choices and educational programs for women, fitness equipment, textiles and garments, as well as a wide selection of mother and child care products.
Among the major exhibitors in this year's edition of Women Expo are Muscat Pharmacy & Stores, Nutricia Middle East with its Milupa and Bebelac brands, Latafa LLC, renna mobile, Mazoon College, GUtech - German University of Technology in Oman, the Art of Beauty Institute, and Specialized Beauty Est. from the UAE. In addition, there is also a Pakistan Pavilion consisting of 11 companies which are all members of the Central and North Punjab Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNPWCCI).
