The 27th edition of the show is set to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from October 27 to 31.

This season's MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show is loaded with prizes that will include daily diamonds pendants, a grand prize of a full diamond set and watches.

The show has added more value to prizes than those distributed for the previous show, which had then acted as a big crowd puller and ensured a high visitor turnout and impressive sales figures despite the prevailing difficult times. It even witnessed long queues of visitors even before the official openings hours of the show.

For the forthcoming show, shoppers who spend Dhs500 or more can qualify for a raffle draw that will be held every day. Winners can take home an exquisite diamond pendant, and the winner of the grand draw on the final day of the show can be the proud owner a stunning diamond set that includes a necklace, earrings and a ring.

Among the product launches, Siroya Collections, a Dubai-based company specialising in diamond jewellery, will introduce the range of watches under the brand called Christopher Road.

Inspired by adventurer Christopher Columbus, the watches are available in five collections -- Contessa, Orla, Fiore, Oblong and Legend -- and feature encrusted diamonds in various styles and colours.

A bold blend of diamonds and Swiss artistry, each Christopher Road timepiece is unique and handcrafted. The masterpieces are a commemoration of timeless beauty and low prices are sure to make the Christopher Road collection an "affordable luxury" for visitors.

This will be just one of the few new offerings to visitors, as jewellers see this platform as the best avenue to showcase and promote their latest collections to the cream of an affluent society.

Among the key attractions, the show will feature six national pavilions, which will display trendy as well as traditional creations. The national pavilions have been a USP (unique selling point) of the show and have become its integral part through their immense popularity among the visitors.

The show is set to feature more than 450 leading jewellers and designers from countries such as Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain, India, Japan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, the US and the UAE.

It will showcase loose pearls, diamonds, precious stones, gold and diamond jewellery, diamond and pearl sets, crystals, watches, jewellery displays, and different kinds of tools used in the trade at 16,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The general visiting hours of show will be from 11am to 10pm on October 27 and 29. On October 28, 30 and 31, the visitors hours will be from 4pm to 10pm. Entry and parking are free.

Ladies will have exclusive timings on October 28 and 31, from 11am to 4pm.

The exhibition is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the World Gold Council and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
