Al Mansouri, said:
"Watani owns and operates several websites including Watani's official website, 'Watani' Forums, 'Watani website for kids', and 'UAE treasures,' which has been specifically designed to showcase all aspects of the living heritage of the nation. These websites are a window to our culture and roots, and we are taking much effort to protect and safeguard these sites. The MoU with aeCERT, the UAE's leader in cyber security initiatives, will enable us to manage our data more effectively and in total safety."
Al Ghanim reiterated the importance of the MoU as a tool that guarantees Watani total protection of its IT infrastructure through high end service provided by the aeCERT.
"We focus on strengthening awareness of IT security all over the UAE, building national capabilities, managing crisis and investigating proofs on computers, in addition to creating a call center to inform about IT crimes in the UAE. We implement a strategic to strengthen knowledge about IT security and the risks of using the internet. We will continue to enhance awareness to guarantee a safe cyberspace to all users of the internet," he said.
The TRA has created the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) to coordinate cyberspace security in the UAE, and facilitate easy identification and response to prevent cyberspace crimes.
