Ahlia University stands tall in quality assessment ratings in Bahrain

The Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET), the independent agency that evaluates academic programmes offered in the Kingdom's institutions of primary and higher learning gave a 'Confidence' rating to Ahlia's Marketing and Management Programme.

Ahlia became the first and only private university, and one of only two universities in the Kingdom to receive this recognition.

"This is just the beginning as the university is now preparing to advance to seek recognition of all of its academic programmes by accreditation bodies worldwide,"

affirmed the University President, Professor Abdulla Al Hawaj.

"Our goal is to place Ahlia University in the same league as the top and well-established international universities," he added.

The Quality Assurance Authority's team of experts assessed the University's Marketing and Management programme in May this year.

The Quality Assurance Authority used four indicators to evaluate the Programme: Curriculum, Efficiency of the Programme, Academic standards of the Graduates and Effectiveness of Quality Management and Assurance. QAA concluded that Ahlia University's Business programme satisfied the requirements in the four areas.

The results were conveyed by Al Hawaj to both the Chairman of the Board, Farouk Al Moayyed and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abdul Razzaq Al Qassim and congratulated them on the achievement.

Professor Abdulla also congratulated all staff and expressed his thanks and appreciation to all staff for this remarkable accomplishment.
