Horizon Flight Academy commences region's first Higher Diploma student batch

The inaugural batch of students for the Higher Diploma in Aviation Business Administration commenced classes at the Al Ain based Horizon International Flight Academy this week. Horizon is the first and only Academy to offer and conduct the Higher Diploma for pilots in the Middle East.
The Academy's General Manager, Mohammed Humaidan Al Zaabi said, "We are proud to be the only academy in the Middle East region to offer Higher Diploma to active and non-active pilots who wants a long-term career in a field as exciting as aviation.
"The entire aviation industry too benefits as this Diploma will help develop better rounded individuals who can later move from flying to ground while also helping them sustain their careers in this field", he explained.
The course includes a comprehensive mix of business and aviation subjects covering three semesters and the students are expected to graduate in January 2011. The course schedule remains flexible so as not to conflict with the normal working routine of employed individuals.
The Higher Diploma in Aviation Business Administration is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and is offered alongside with the UAE GCAA approved pilot training program.
Earlier this week Horizon Academy celebrated the graduation of the second batch of Eithad cadet pilots who completed their Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) training.
