Dubai Trade and ZAFCO FZCO synergizing their partnership in enhancing the e-services strategy

In line with its policy of maintaining direct communication links with clients and responding to their feedback on services, Dubai Trade, the end-to-end-online service provider and business facilitator under Dubai World, recently held discussions with the senior management of ZAFCO FZCO.

During the discussion, ZAFCO FZCO highlighted the advantages of using various e-services on Dubai Trade such as Mirsal II that enables a paperless declaration process.

Another service available on Dubai Trade is "e-Token" which significantly reduces the turnaround time for Haulers to deliver and pickup containers. An additional major service on Dubai Trade Portal is "Rosoom", the Dubai Trade's online payment gateway, which allows users to enquire and pay Port charges online in an easy and secure manner.

Mariam Al Afridi, Operations & Marketing Senior Manager, Dubai Trade, presented some statistical figures that reflected the extent of customer interaction with the services available on the Portal.

The figures reflected that ZAFCO FZCO currently completes more than 70% of its business and logistical deals with Dubai Customs, DP World and JAFZA electronically through the Dubai Trade Portal.

During the discussions, there was an exchange of proposals and solutions on the challenges faced by ZAFCO users for future enhancement purposes,
ZAFCO FZCO mentioned the benefits of introducing the Unified Bill Presentment, aiming to enable the payment of DP World and Dubai Custom charges in one transaction.

Dubai Trade, being the centre of trade statistics in various sectors, also provides the latest statistical figures to all trading community as well as various Governmental institutions; Consulates and other entities. The customers will soon be able to obtain "External Trade Statistics" reports through the e-Shopping service on Dubai Trade Portal.

Mahmood Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Trade, had an optimistic view expressing the extent of interest in providing the highest level of quality in the services availed to customers. He congratulated both teams for excellent team work, confirming that Dubai Trades initiatives will open new avenues, and is on the path of innovative expansion that are specifically designed to ease and facilitate business.

Gopiraj Kv, Chief Executive Officer of ZAFCO FZCO, commended the Dubai Trade delegation for the excellent effort put into developing these high quality services and for their optimistic vision of seeking to build strong bridges of strategic alliances with their clients, hoping for further mutual cooperation to achieve the maximum satisfaction at both ends.
