If that is not enough, the week's second fastest drivers will win a two night stay at the new luxury five-star Qasr Al Sarab desert resort by Anantara - a Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) project in the heart of Abu Dhabi's magnificent Liwa desert.
And a stay at The Desert Islands Resort and Spa - also operated by Anantatra - is the prize for third fastest. The hotel is on the former Royal nature retreat of Sir Bani Yas Island, which is home to the Arabian Wildlife Park with its free-roaming herds of Arabian Oryx and giraffes.
The simulators, which are used by many of the world's top drivers to hone their skills between races, have received popular take up with more than a thousand would-be racers taking to the wheel in the four days since it the challenge began.
"This is becoming one of our most hotly contested competitions, especially as the excitement and enthusiasm of the Grand Prix reaches fever pitch,"
said Saeed Al Dhaheri, Visitor Information Manager, ADTA, which manages the tourism industry of the emirate.
In total, eight weekend passes for the 2009 Etihad Airways Formula 1™ Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and 16 hotel stay packages are up for grabs by Abu Dhabi's brightest driving stars. Simulators at Al Wahda Mall and Abu Dhabi Corniche are all ready running, and simulators at Abu Dhabi and Marina malls will be ready from Sunday 25th October.
