"The Middle East paper industry mainly consumes paper material for packaging production rather than raw paper production because of the lack of manufacturing processes to convert wood into raw material paper," says Satish Khanna, General Manager, Al Fajer Information and Services, organizers the second edition of Paper Arabia.

France boasts some of the oldest machinery producers in the world, and their expertise can help regional players boost the nascent paper industry in the Middle East. Ten French firms specialising in paper technology are taking part in Paper Arabia tapping new customers explore business leads.

"French companies are looking on Paper Arabia 2009 as an ideal platform to highlight latest solutions in paper industry, in an ambience where global players from the paper, tissue and converting industry will compete for market share," said Khanna.

Paper Arabia offers opportunities to manufactures and suppliers of finished products, equipment, machinery, paper chemicals, services, supplies of paper, tissue and converting sector to access the Middle East and North African markets.

Khanna added:

"Paper Arabia, with more than 200 exhibitors from 30 countries from across the world, is a key platform for traders and industry players to interact.
