Aldar's major projects win awards at Arabian Property Awards 2009

Aldar received awards in the following categories:
- Best Office Development: HQ, Al Raha Beach
- Best Mixed Use Development: Yas Island Project
- Best Development: Al Bandar, Al Raha Beach

In addition, MZ & Partners were awarded the Architecture Award for their work on the HQ building.

HQ will be the anchor development of Al Dana precinct, the Central Business District of Aldar's Al Raha Beach waterfront development. Spherical in design and built to international Grade A standards, HQ offers over 49,000 sqm of premium office space over 23 floors with expansive column-free areas, prime location, spectacular views and allows for an unparalleled working environment through the integration of exceptional services. Endorsing this premium office development, Aldar will occupy part of HQ.

Yas Island is Aldar's major leisure and entertainment destination and venue for the inaugural Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The first phase of this project, which includes the Yas Marina Circuit, seven hotels, the Yas Marina and related infrastructure has been delivered ahead of the race. The region's first links golf course will open later this year and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, set to be the world's largest indoor theme park will open in 2010.

Due for delivery in 2010, Al Bandar will be the first district to welcome new residents in the Al Raha Beach development. The precinct is a residential community designed around a marina with a mix of property types that include riverside duplexes, loft apartments and large family homes. Located just a short boat ride away from Yas Island, Al Bandar incorporates below ground parking and emphasizes a car free and relaxed pedestrian environment.
