Qatargas sponsors Sony Ericson Women's Open Tennis

Qatargas officially handed over a cheque to Qatar Tennis Federation in a brief ceremony at the federation for sponsorship of the Sony Ericsson Championships "Doha 2009", set to take place at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex in Doha from October 27-November 1, 2009.
Mr. Ghanim Al-Kuwari said; "We are glad to be part of such a prestigious championship. Supporting such events stems from our corporate citizenship initiatives. Qatargas has partnered with Qatar Tennis Federation during many major events over the past years and we will continue our support in promoting sporting and other social events in Qatar."
Sony Ericsson Championships - Doha 2009 - is the culmination of the Sony Ericsson Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour. World's top eight single players and top four double teams from 2009 Sony Ericsson WTA Tour season will compete in this event in an attempt to win the important title and a share of the fabulous $4.45m in prize money.
