The rise to become the largest BTEC provider in the region has been rapid with courses only starting at the Institute some 18 months ago.
Richard Firth, Director of the Institute, said:
"We are delighted to have become the largest BTEC provider in the UAE, and to have reached this position in such a short time, is a remarkable feat that we are all very proud of. This has certainly put us on the UAE map, and built on our reputation as a credible vocational provider."
On the back of this success the Institute is planning to offer more vocational programs to cater for the UAE employment markets needs, and has recently launched an open program portfolio of short courses to provide BTEC certification to a wider audience.
Mark Andrews, Regional Director for Edexcel/BTEC, said, "As a leading provider of internationally recognized qualifications, it is our responsibility to provide organisations with the tools they need to meet their objectives. The Institute is taking great steps to achieving some very challenging and ambitious goals, and it is our privilege to support them as they do so."
According to Firth the Institute will now looking to build on its initial success, "Having achieved this position, our next goal will be to establish the Institute as the leading international, as well as Gulf Region, BTEC provider."
