Abu Dhabi-based Burooj Properties has signed a media services contract with Sahara Communications, a subsidiary of the UAE-based Sahara Group, according to which the latter will provide the necessary media consultancy services and public relations support to the leading developer and its projects.

The deal is in line with Burooj Properties' belief in the importance of transparency, the necessity of communicating clearly with its client and the public, and the active role played by media and PR in achieving these goals.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr Adel Ahmed Al Zarouni, Managing Director of Burooj Properties, who signed the deal with Dr Ahmad Mufid Al Samerai, President of Sahara Group, in the presence of a number of senior managers of both firms.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Al Zarouni said, "In a highly competitive marketplace, reliable communication with clients and the public plays an important role, particularly at this time. Key developers should update their clients on the latest developments in their projects in order to retain their leading position despite changing market conditions, and should work hard to prove their credibility to their customers".

"We have elected to join hands with Sahara Communications due to their proven track record of handling public relations and media support services for key developers and their outstanding success in delivering the required message to the target audience in the most professional and cost-effective manner possible," he added.

President of Sahara Group, Dr Ahmad Al Samerai, said, "Abu Dhabi's real estate market was best positioned to absorb the shock of the recent global financial crisis, due to a series of highly effective measures that helped cushion the market from adverse global impacts, protect the various economic sectors in the UAE capital, and maintain investor confidence. In such a positive environment, Burooj Properties was well positioned to complete its projects. Our agreement with Burooj Properties is consistent with the commitment to transparency and regular communication with clients and the public that it has uphelp since it was established".
