Jazeera Airways CEO, Stefan Pichler, commented:
"Latakia is a city rich in history and at the same time is a top Mediterranean tourist spot, boasting long stretches of soft sandy beaches. Like our other Syrian destinations, our great flight schedule means that Guests can escape for the weekend to soak up the city's culture and beaches, and return in time for the start of the week. Guests flying from Latakia can benefit from great connectivity to other destinations across our network, such as Doha, Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Isfahan. Jazeera is one of the first regional airlines to fly to Latakia, so we look forward to welcoming even more Guests to experience our award-winning Jazeera service to this exciting destination."
The inauguration of Latakia comes as part of Jazeera's recent network expansion, which included some of the region's most desirable holiday spots as well as the new twice-daily service to Abu Dhabi.
Tickets for non-stop flights to Latakia, Aleppo, Damascus and Deir Ezzor - or to any of the airline's 21 other destinations - are all available at jazeeraairways.com.
Jazeera Airways currently operates a fleet of 10 new Airbus A320s. Each aircraft is fitted with the airline's signature leather seating, while the Jazeera Business cabin offers business travellers the highest standards of comfort, relaxation and a range of in-flight amenities. The airline flies to destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, Iran, and the Indian subcontinent.
