The event will showcase the latest case studies, findings and technology solutions available and how they can be adapted to businesses in the region.

A recent case study conducted with CIO's, CTO's and IT Directors from major organisations from across the region emphasised their desire for more information and a better understanding as to how cloud computing can benefit them. Security was of particular interest, as was the process of implementation into their existing systems.

"Cloud Computing is emerging as a new services delivery model within the region. The value of convenient, flexible and cost-efficient services to address the evolving technology requirements of our clients compliments Injazat's approach to managed services and outsourcing of IT functions which free the client to focus on their core business. The Cloud Computing Summit is a timely initiative that complements the adoption of cloud computing in the region, providing a unified platform to explore the present and future challenges and opportunities in the delivery of this revolutionary technology,"

said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO of Injazat.

The Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit is free to attend for senior IT decision makers from end-users (enterprise and government) of cloud and SaaS services. An impressive line-up of regional and international companies will speak at the event, including State of Michigan, Bank of America, eBay / PayPal, Zamil Industrial, Omniyat Properties, Bayt.com, Meeza, eHosting DataFort and Google.

Charbel Fakhoury, Regional General Manager, Microsoft Gulf says, "Businesses today look to the cloud as a cost-saving alternative, reducing in-house servers and management staff. Microsoft comes to the table with a thoughtful, strategic approach to recognizing ongoing industry demands while building on our strengths in the delivery of software plus services. The breadth of the Microsoft platform delivers a seamless, connected experience for users across multiple devices. Therefore, this event is the ideal platform for us to showcase our end-to-end solutions and understand the requirements of this emerging software plus services world."

The Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit has attracted registrations from top organisations, including Roads & Transport Authority, EMARAT, DP World, Jeddah Municipality, ADNOC Distribution, Damac Group, Health Authority Abu Dhabi, Emaar Economic City, Dubai Customs and Qatar Steel Company.

"In this economic climate, it's more important than ever that enterprises effectively manage their IT operations to get the most value out of their investments in areas such as cloud computing," said Halim Belkhatir, BMC's Regional Director Middle East." BMC's Business Service Management platform is designed to enable organizations to efficiently request, orchestrate and provision capacity across their existing internal IT resources and external clouds in minutes, saving customers time and money."
