Successful conclusion for Character Dubai and Dubai World Game Expo

The Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair - Character Dubai and the Dubai World Game Expo concluded successfully with more than 10.000 professional and public visitors from the Characters and Cartoon, licensing, and Electronic games Industry. Many business deals were closed during the three days event.

Character Dubai and DWGE feature prominent dedicated activities including Dubai International Character and Licensing Conference, Dubai World Game Summit presented by twofour54 and World Game Championship all of which aim to promote the industry in the region. 45 industry pioneer speakers will participate in the Conference and Summit to present and discuss major industry related issues aiming at developing the industry and attract more investment opportunities to the region.

Dubai Character & Licensing Fair is the only dedicated licensing trade fair in the Middle East, it is a venue that brings together leading animation producers, content creators, comics, media, advertisers, graphic designers, manufacturers, retailers, licensees, licensing agents, licensors and other related industries.

Emari Toons and the speedy productions had signed a deal worth of more than $22m yesterday, during the Character Fair 2009 taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition and Conferences Centre. The agreement includes producing a series of 22 episodes that will display facts and challenges of each and every Arab Country.

Freej has also signed a deal with Al Hokair Group from kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AL Hokair Group will be the exclusive distributor of Feej Characters in the Saudi market, as it is considered one of the major Development Groups in KSA, specialized in tourism and hospitality in all over the KSA market.

Majid Al Hokair, the executive chairman of Al Hokair Group said; "This agreement is going in conjunction with the group's strategy that aims to achieve integration in the entertainment projects; we also believe that that Freej will be welcomed warmly in the Saudi market."

From the other side, Mohmmed Saeed Harib, the Creator and Director of Freej animated cartoon said; "It is great that 'Om Khammas', 'Om Saeed', 'Om Allawi', and 'Om Salloum' will be able to travel to other Arab countries such as KSA, where they will have the chance to meet their fans there, during the activities scheduled for them over there, and I am really excited that 'Ayayez Al Freej' will be a sort of joy to everybody there."

The event presents new investment opportunities for investors and global brand companies and allows them to enter into the UAE and the regions markets that are considered among the largest importers for this industry services estimated by $10bn.

On the other hand, many electronic games were launched during the Dubai World Game Expo; the Pixel haze had launched a new game called 'Seven', the game symbolizes the nature, environmental, musical and artistic, it also represents the seven secrets in the world of games.

"The Electronic Games market in the Middle East is one of the biggest markets in terms of audience, as you know the number of gamers in the Middle East is enormous, therefore, local companies shall boost their efforts to reach the decision makers of this industry," said Kanika, the business manager of Pixel Haze.

Dubai World Game Expo is devoted to introducing a wide variety of computer games, including entertaining video games, online gaming, mobile games, edutainment & infotainment software, game related hardware, and next-generation platforms. It is the biggest and the only event dedicated to interactive games in the Middle East. DWGE 2009 will again highlight interactive platforms for all participants to enjoy the fusion of cutting-edge games, interactive entertainment, edutainment, infotainment, and business opportunities.
