Viva launches '2 in 1 Hajj' package for Hajj pilgrims this year

Eng. Najeeb Al Awadi, Viva CEO, assured The Viva Hajj package aims to ease the pilgrims' journey to Mecca, by being able to stay in touch with their families and loved ones as soon as they arrive. The dual-line SIM includes Viva Value line an STC Local line, which means only one cell phone to carry while performing the pilgrimage. Once in KSA, customers can top up their STC line to make local or international calls using STC's recharge vouchers that are widely available throughout the Kingdom.

Eng. Najeeb stated:

"We wanted to bridge the synergies we have with STC (Saudi Telecommunications Company) in KSA and bring forth to our customers an added value service that will help them feel at home and save on roaming costs during the Hajj season. We hope to offer our customers the ability and flexibility to make local calls at local rates, and still keep in touch with the family through their Viva line as well."

Al Awadi added that one of the most important features of Viva Hajj package is being able to know and share STC local number before heading to Saudi Arabia, so family and friends can call as soon as the traveler arrives. In addition, customers using the STC line will always be in touch even when they don't have credit, by receiving calls for free.

Viva Hajj package customers are able to use the same prepaid line when they come back to Kuwait, top up locally in both countries, and even use the line when they travel to KSA in the future.

Upon purchasing Hajj "2 in 1" package, customers will receive a prepaid Viva line including credit along with a prepaid STC local number with credit. Offer is valid until January 20th 2010.
