Commenting on the growth and outlook, Mr. R. Krishnan, General Manager, Galadari Automobiles, said:
"After a tough patch of demand slowdown in 2009, our fair assessment is that the market is showing distinct signs of improvement - Mazda certainly has gained ground in increasing sales in the last two quarters of the year with the uptake of our models nearly doubling compared to the first two quarters."
"The encouraging two quarters of 2009 has also made us confident to look at a sales growth of 20% in 2010. We may exceed this target since we believe that the soon to be launched 'the new metropolitan hawk' crossover SUV, CX-7 may tilt growth in our favour further," he said.
In anticipation of the increased growth, Galadari Automobiles has also invested heavily into major infrastructure assets and has increased manpower in services and sales.
"We have been on a concerted effort to raise the brand equity of Mazda cars in the UAE market for nearly a year and this has generated increased affinity for our models which are in the forefront in terms of performance and aesthetics at comparatively fair price points," Mr. Krishnan said.
The dealership has revamped its existing showrooms in Dubai to cater to the increased demand and service needs.
It has now 7 showrooms across the UAE and 6 service centers, apart from warehousing facilities.
"Altogether, we have increased our retail and service space across all our operations. This expansion has been done in anticipation of volumes to continue to grow at a rate of 15-20% each year over the next three to five years," Mr. Krishnan said.
He said corresponding with the growth in numbers and customer base, Galadari is also in the process of increasing its back-end service facilities.
"Our growth comes from the increasing appeal for our new models that have huge differentiators in terms of looks, technology, soaped up classy interiors and solid performance," he added.
Commenting on the growth drivers of Mazda, the spokesperson said, "The new Mazda lineup is value-added, design-centric and technologically superior. The road presence of Mazda is unique and stands out while its performance levels across all models are excellent."
"During the third quarter this year, we successfully launched the Mazda 3 and the vehicle has performed exceedingly well and continues to contribute to our increasing sales figures. Apart from an upcoming crossover SUV launch, Mazda is also planning to unveil a car in the subcompact segment from its stables in 2010," he added.
