Toshiba recognises top channel partners

Toshiba Computer Systems Division today celebrates its top channel partners through the Toshiba UAE Channel Awards 2009. The event gathered together retailers and dealer partners who have played a vital role in driving Toshiba's market growth in the country.
Hypermarket chain Carrefour UAE netted the prestigious Highest Consumer Notebook Sales accolade. The excellent retail turnout has gathered a number of retail awardees; the likes of Dubai Duty Free and Jacky's Electronics have picked up the Highest Year on Year Growth for Retail; Jumbo Electronics has received the Excellence in Sales for Retail award; while Plug - Ins Electronics and Sharaf DG share the award for Best Value Partner for Retail.
Growth in the small to medium business category from Computer Care allowed them to win the Excellence in Sales for SMB; Computronic Trading picked up the Best Value Partner for SMB; and Superspeed Computers garnered the Highest Year on Year Growth for SMB. Retailer Lulu Hypermarket netted the Emerging Partner for Retail award.
Two special awards were also presented to individuals who have shown exemplary performance. The Best Account Manager for Retail and for Channel citations were respectively awarded to Al Futtaim Electronics' Ranjith Shetty and Akshay Mathur.
The channel awardees have demonstrated exceptional criteria in bringing the Toshiba business to new heights: creating a consistent growth within the small to medium business category; moving large numbers of Toshiba high-end models like Portegés and Qosmios; expanding focus retail areas; exhibiting the full range of Toshiba notebooks and its full options and accessories; efficient ordering and re-stocking mechanism; excellent customer service; and value for money.
