British Airways renews Red Sea destination

British Airways launched on Tuesday the 27th of October a new direct flight route from Gatwick to popular Red Sea resort Sharm El Sheikh .Being a top holiday destination known for its pristine beaches and renowned dive sites, Sharm El Sheikh route makes a comeback with British Airways.

Flying three times a week out of Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh the long-haul flight is expected to be a success, as the airline presents its services to one of the most visited resort cities in Egypt.

British Airways new flight route will be carried out by a Boeing 777 aircraft offering passengers a three-class configuration: World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World.

A team of BA experts, lead by Mohsen Baki the start up manager for Sharm El Sheikh airport, were there to make sure first flight goes smooth, Customers were met and greeted by all the Local BA team in celebration of the event, Flight arrived on time and was ready to depart back to Gatwick 5mintues ahead of scheduled time.

British Ariways flies a daily Cairo- London Heathrow route, the decision to use Gatwick airport as a destination for the new route is mainly for its popularity among leisure travelers, making it the ideal choice for the Sharm El Sheikh flight.

British Airways last served Sharm El Sheikh through its franchise operator GB Airways, which was sold in March 2008.
