"The tourism and hotel sector is growing at a fast pace. According to studies the target of fifty thousand new employees is required over the next five years to meet the rising demand in the market. The launch of the educational loan by Jordan Ahli Bank, under the bank's funding strategy, is directed at local development, granting financing of education fees for undergraduate and diploma students with a zero interest loan and facilitated terms of payment."
Dr. Muhsen Makhamreh - Dean of Hotel and Tourism Faculty / Jordan Applied University said, "The hotel and tourism sector has recently witnessed a surge of interest with students seeking employment in this field both during their studies and following graduation. Launching this service in collaboration with Jordan Ahli Bank, effectively contributes towards meeting demands within the industry."
Dr. Makhamreh also praised Jordan Ahli Bank's efforts in developing the educational needs of the community and thanked the management of Jordan Ahli Bank for their dedicated contribution to this project.
Founded in 1980 and approved by The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the faculty offers specialized programs in hotel management and tourism for undergraduate and diploma students, with the aim of developing and advancing hotel and tourism education in Jordan by equipping students with vital skills to grow Jordan's tourism industry.
The faculty also offers diploma training programs to students who were unsuccessful in high school 'Tawjihi' examinations, in addition to a variety of long, medium and short-term training courses in hotel management and tourism, accredited by the Ministry of Tourism.
