Land transactions in Dubai top Dhs244.19m

The total value of land transactions in Dubai today Monday 02-11-2009 peaked at Dhs244.19m, of which sales exceeded Dhs165.73m.

The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs78.45m, according to the Land Department.

A total of 7 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the day, the most valuable of which was a plot in Emirates Hills Third that was sold for Dhs13.5m. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Manara acquired for the sum of Dhs5.76m and another in Dubai Industrial City First for Dhs3.41627m.

The Ranches area was the most active in terms of the day's sales, with some 4 transactions. Al Manara followed it with 1 sales.

During the period, Emirates Hills Third recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs13.5m, followed by the Ranches area, Dhs10.45m, and Al Manara area, Dhs5.76m.

The biggest area sold was the 26950 sq ft in the Ranches area, which went for Dhs2.18m. A 23724 sq ft plot in the Dubai Industrial City First Area was acquired for Dhs3.42m, while 15662.64 sq ft of Emirates Hills Third was disposed of for Dhs13.5m.

During the period under review 8 mortgages worth Dhs23.79m were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs10.05m for an area at Emirates Hills Third. There was another for Dhs4m on an area in Jumeirah Second Apartments and villas in freehold areas witnessed the registration of 129 sales transaction out of which 121 were for apartments for a total of Dhs73.93m and 8 for villas at a total sum of Dhs10.12m.

A total of 10 mortgages for Dhs13.41m were registered on villas and apartments.
