Batelco promotes lady as General Manager of Human Resources Bahrain

Batelco has announced the promotion of Suhaila Alnowakhda to the post of General Manager Human Resources Bahrain. Suhaila, who joined Batelco in 1992 as a Management Services Analyst, completed a BSC from U.O.B while holding down her full time job.
Since 2005, Suhaila has held a number of senior roles in the HR Department including Senior Manager HR Bahrain with the responsibility for Recruitment & Manpower, HR Operations & Systems, HR Policies & Reviews, Industrial Relations, and Buildings Projects & Support.
"Suhaila's impressive work ethic in accomplishing her wide ranging tasks prompted Batelco's Executive Management to promote her to the role of General Manager where she will have full responsibility for all Human Resource issues for the Bahrain Operation under the direction of Batelco Group General Manager HR Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa," explained Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain Gert Rieder.
"We are delighted to appoint Suhaila to this vital role. She has had a very accomplished 18 year career at Batelco and we have no doubt the she will continue to distinguish herself in this challenging role," he said.
"Suhaila is one of a number of our ladies that hold senior and general management roles, leading a variety of critical and complex functions across the Company," added Mr. Rieder.
"Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the Company is proud to provide equal opportunities for its entire staff and make available world-class training opportunities by investing over a million dinars annually to ensure that relevant development programmes are available."
