Alba shares its expertise in social communication in major conference

- PRESS RELEASE
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)'s success in communicating its corporate social responsibility has yielded tremendous benefits in strengthening the Alba brand in the local, regional and international environment, asserted Alba's Chief Operation Officer Mohammed Mahmood in a presentation entitled "Alba Communications and Community Service" at the recently held 1st Corporate Communications 2009 Conference in Bahrain.
"Alba's achievements are broad based and are expressed not only through its social partnership but also by sharing the company's expertise in this field.
"Every organisation uses two types of communication to achieve its strategic goals. Internal communication addresses employees and places great emphasis on improving their capabilities. External communication, on the other hand, is concerned with communicating the right information to the general public through different kinds of media," explained Mr. Mahmood.
He also added that the mark of successful organisations is in knowing how to make right use of the latest technology in corporate communication. Alba's success in both print and electronic media in its corporate communications has enabled the company to spread the message of its leadership in the aluminium industry and as a socially responsible company.
Alba has been consistently ranked as one of the largest aluminium smelters in the world with total production exceeding 870,000 metric tonnes, and is known for its technological strength and innovative policies. It has maintained a high track record for safety and continues to enforce strict environmental guidelines.
