Sharjah Economic Development Department signs Memorandum of Understanding with SIP

The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SIP to develop the Department's information and electronic technology capabilities across the country.

The agreement was signed at SEDD's headquarters by H.E. Ali Salim Al Mahmoud, SEDD General Manager, and H.E. Mubarak Bil Aswad, SIP General Manager.

Al Mahmoud, said:

"SEDD is eager to update its internal systems with the latest technologies in order to reach higher levels of competition and performance. In line with this, SIP's technical expertise can help us achieve services of a higher standard, which is on par with Sharjah's economic conditions."


"Our partnership with SIP is a big step towards offering the best services to our clients, and we believe that the alliance between the two institutions will pave the way for further collaboration," he added.

Said Aswad, "SEDD has made the right choice, as updating systems and connecting these into one technical package are not only vital requirements for the government's electronic basis, but it also provides a valuable way of communicating with other government institutions. In addition, these processes will enhance SEDD's technical performance, which will lead to client satisfaction, the achievement of goals, and ultimately reaching new heights."

According to the MoU, SIP will provide SEDD with up-to-date technical support such as adding SEDD to the unified electronic gateway for Sharjah institutions, collaborating with SEDD in the applications field, adding SEDD to the Sharjah unified governmental agreements and unified network lines, establishing a Khorfakkan website to store important files in case of crises, as well as any technical support related to the above. SIP will also provide consultancy services.
