Unique of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the festival is a celebration of Dutch cuisine and culture. Hotel Al Khozama's Holland Food Festival will introduce high quality Dutch meat to Saudi Arabia.
The festival combines expansive buffet selections and exciting live cooking stations of Dutch delicacies. Renowned Dutch Chef Patrick Boerefijn will be present throughout the event to collaborate with Rosewood's culinary team and deliver authentic Dutch cuisine. Further adding to the traditional atmosphere, a highly regarded clog maker has been flown to Riyadh directly from the Netherlands to produce hand-made clogs. In celebration of this occasion, Al Faisaliah tower will change its lighting to orange, to reflect the national color of Holland.
"We are thrilled to announce Riyadh's first Holland Food Festival as we continue to set the standard for culinary events in the Kingdom," said Peter Finamore, Managing Director at Hotel Al Khozama, A Rosewood Hotel.
"Our festival unites authentic Dutch cuisine, with the highest quality of ingredients imported from Holland for the occasion, and flawless personalized service, ensuring that all of our guests experience an authentic and exciting encounter with the cuisine and culture of the Netherlands."
Hotel Al Khozama created the festival in partnership with the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Strong commitment and cooperation came from the festival's sponsors: The Dutch Veal Board, Air France-KLM, Saudi Hollandi Bank, Douwe Egberts, Lamb & Weston, and FrieslandCampina. Dutch companies and sponsors will be represented throughout the event in the Garden Barbeque.
"We are extremely grateful to His Excellency Mr. Ron G. Strikker, all of our sponsors, and the city's extremely active Dutch community for giving us such enthusiastic support to bring authentic Dutch dishes and culture to the Kingdom," Finamore added.
From 7.30pm until 11:30pm, the hotel's Garden Barbeque embraces the festive spirit of the Netherlands. Regular guests to the restaurant will be amazed at its transformation for the festival, with the décor reflecting a traditional Dutch outdoor area, complete with tulips and windmills.
