Brazil consolidates participation in Big 5 Show with innovation and competitiveness

Brazil is going to introduce several new products in the 2009 edition of the Big 5 Show, due November this year. The fair will feature 26 companies based in the country, representing industries such as stones, ceramics, wood, sanitary metals, and various building products.
The Brazilian stand will be packed with unique opportunities. Each year, the Brazilians surprise the visitors with innovative products, sophisticated solutions and competitive prices.
Check out some of the new offerings for this year:
On the market for nearly 70 years, door lock manufacturing company Arouca Fechaduras is known for the excellence of its products and for innovating constantly. At the fair, it will present new and improved models of locks, hinges, handles, mirrors and knobs.
This will be the second time at the fair for brush manufacturing company Atlas, which has a strong presence in the Americas and in Europe. This year, in addition to the traditional options of brushes and rollers of various types, the company is going to present products for cleaning and painting wooden decks and a range of accessories for special painting.
Ornamental stone company Braminas, for instance, owns quarries of the following stones: Blue Fantastic, Brown Itu, Brown São Paulo, Champagne Fantasy, Golden Caju, Jacaranda Fantasy, Ju Fantasy and Red Bragança. The highlight is Blue Fantastic, which is attracting the attention of Arab businessmen the most with its beautiful see-through colour.
In the ceramic facing sector, company Casagrande is back at the Big 5 bringing its "Madeira e legno" collection, which emulates the texture of woods such as cherry wood, mahogany and ivory wood. The company is involved in several projects in the Arab world.
Crismoe, a manufacturer of high-end bathroom accessories, presents its current collections, with designs that suit the most varied styles, from pure British colonial to the elegance of classic features, to the modern glamour of its curvy items.
The flagship product of Formacomp Ltda is Film Faced Shuttering Plywood, for civil construction. The company already ships from 30 to 40 containers per month to the Middle East, and participation in this event should increase the volume even further. All of the raw material used in production comes from reforestation land owned by the group itself.
Forminox brings to the Arabs its line of stainless steel facing, sinkettes (bowls), stainless bowls for high-pressure decorative laminate sinks, vats, American valves, facings, tubs and other stainless steel products for the civil construction industry.
The highlight of Guidoni, another company that sells stones, is its line of granites, in particular the Giallo Ornamental Soft Yellow, the mining company's main product, which is already being used in large projects in the region.
GHS Chemicals, a company owned by the Hidroservice group, which works with chemical inputs, attended the Big 5 for the first time last year, with excellent results. In the upcoming edition, the company highlights water desalination products and equipment - using a technology known as Reverse Osmosis -, as well as solutions for improving the quality of conditioned air.
In turn, company Gyotoku is going to present its Croma Travertino porcelain tiles, available in the 60 cm × 120 cm size with vertical seams. With the appearance of a natural stone, sophisticated tones and a brilliance of its own, the product conveys a feeling of boundless breadth, making the room nobler.
Technical and aesthetic quality have made Itagres a reference in the Brazilian ceramic facing market, and the company conquered the world's largest and most demanding markets in the world as well. The company will participate in the Big 5 for the fifth time, bringing its excellent indoor and outdoor floor and wall finishes.
Meber is a company specialized in high-end sanitary metals. It seeks to meet the decorative needs and provide comfort to consumers by means of differentiated, competitive products.
A manufacturer of concrete mixers since 1940, Menegotti couples experience with technology to produce machinery and equipment for civil construction, such as tools and elevator equipment for the manufacturing of concrete pipes, blocks and pavers. It also makes on demand wrought iron sheets for factories.
Metais Poly gained fame by making sanitary metals such as taps, mixers, valves and showers of the highest quality - using devices for reducing water consumption - and is now releasing its Polymatic Line, consisting of controlled flow taps.
Platform is a company that exports and imports Brazilian tropical wood, Pine wood, plywood, stones, and also invests in manganese and iron ore. In the event, it will showcase flat and grooved decking, tiles, solid flooring, S4S and sawed wood, plywood, marble and granite.
Architectural framings for interior decoration are the specialty of Santa Luzia Molduras; which will present a line of decorative framings for civil construction.
A traditional maker of civil construction tools, Schulz is going to highlight its line of industrial piston compressors and industrial screw compressors at the event. The company already exports to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan.
With over 50 years experience, Soprano operates in various fields of the market, and possesses high technology for manufacturing a diverse line of items, including furniture accessories, parts for the framing industry, hydraulic and road equipment, electric material and civil construction products.
With the know how garnered over decades of activity in Brazil, the companies in the SP Stone group excel in activities ranging from stone extraction to design, cutting techniques, assembly of floorings and special parts, allowing for the use of various types of stones.
The Brazilian stand will also count on the presence of the ASBEA - Brazilian Association of Architecture Firms, which will travel with the objective of gathering information on market trends and prospecting potential new projects.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has participated in The Big 5 Show since 2003 with the aim of promoting civil construction industry companies and related sectors.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber also maintains the Brazil-Arab News Agency - ANBA, in the Portuguese acronym - www.anba.com.br -, an online news agency working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, that receives over 500,000 visits per month and brings information that is useful not only to those who intend to promote business between the two regions, but also to promote closer cultural ties between Brazil and the Arabs.
