Citadel Capital appoints Sahara Communications as PR Agency in the GCC

Citadel Capital, the leading private equity firm in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the appointment of Sahara as its Public Relations Agency to strengthen its presence in the GCC.

Citadel Capital is confident that its key messages will be delivered clearly to our audiences and that the agency's dynamism will build stronger relationships for our firm," said Ghada Hammouda, Head of Corporate Communications at Citadel Capital.

The appointment comes at a time when Citadel Capital is entering into a number of new investments in the region and expanding the regional footprint of its existing platforms.

Today, Citadel Capital has 17 Opportunity-Specific Funds that control Platform Companies with investments of more than $8.3bn in 14 industries including energy, mining, agrifoods, cement, transportation and retail.

Sahara will be handling Citadel Capital's corporate communications requirements including media relations, crisis management and corporate affairs in the GCC.

Since its founding in 2004, Citadel Capital has returned $2.4bn in cash to its co-investors — more than any other MENA private equity firm.
