197 students admitted into ADEC scholarship program

Abu Dhabi Education Council's (ADEC) Scholarship Committee granted scholarships to 197 students, including 33 university students and 164 high school graduates, who have met the Scholarship Program criteria.

These students were selected out of a total of 345 applicants who successfully passed all tests and personal interviews to have full sponsorship of their higher education studies within the UAE. The selected students will be supervised and monitored by ADEC's Guidance and Scholarship Department until they complete their university programs.

H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al-Khaili, Director General of ADEC, said that this program reflects the dedication of the Abu Dhabi government to provide students with the best educational opportunities in order to meet the needs of the local workforce.

"As part of ADEC's 10-Year Strategic Plan, improved access to various tertiary programs shall be made available to Abu Dhabi students to enable them play a key role in achieving the social and economic goals that have been set out for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,"


Dr. Al-Khaili said.

Dr. Al-Khaili expressed his thanks and gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of UAE, H.H. General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of ADEC and H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Premiere, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Vice-Chairman of ADEC for their great and continuous support to students to allow them gain the necessary skills and knowledge that would help them meet future challenges.

Dr. Al-Khaili welcomed the Scholarship Program students and wished them all the best and pointed out that ADEC will continue to develop academic and cultural partnerships with the most reputable and highly prestigious higher education institutions in the world.
