With 14 days to go until the grand finale of The Race to Dubai gets underway, the tournament has attracted more than 70,000 registrations for free tickets. To appeal to all ages and tastes, Dubai World Championship organiser Nakheel Leisure has planned a social festival in addition to the world-class golf on display.

Offering stunning views of the signature 17th green, the shaded bar and deck of Left Bank is free to enter and will be one of the major attractions of the tournament, with visitors able to relax while watching the action on the make-or-break island green.

Boasting stunning views down the 650-yard finishing hole, another well known Dubai attraction, Après, will be located on a decked bar adjacent to the 18th green and will also be free to enter. On the final day of the tournament spectators could be watching one player standing over a putt for $2.75m and the chance to be crowned the inaugural Dubai World Championship and Race to Dubai winner.

Saeed Harib, Managing Director, Nakheel Leisure, said:

"This is golf as you have never seen it before. As the climax to The Race to Dubai and with a guaranteed world-class field featuring Sergio Garcia, Rory McIlroy, and Lee Westwood, we know that the Dubai World Championship will provide a thrilling festival of golf, but we also wanted to make this a social occasion, which is why we have created unique attractions such as Left Bank and Après."

Fans can also picnic with family and friends on beanbags or enjoy couches and hammocks overlooking key holes at a number of locations on the Earth course, while a host of interactive entertainment will feature throughout the four-day event in the Championship Village, including live music late into the evening.

In the 'Village', visitors can put their golf skills to the test with a state-of-the-art 'Full Swing' simulator that offers the opportunity to play the 17th hole of the Earth course. Those who find the simulator too challenging without a few tips can get a free ten minute lesson with a professional coach from the Emirates Golf Foundation (EGF).

The Kids Zone features a variety of activities for youngsters including the opportunity for budding Rory McIlroys and Sergio Garcias of the future to experience the sport for the first time with junior golf game 'Starting New At Golf' (SNAG).

Less than a stone's throw from the numerous food and beverage outlets, exercise instructors from Fitness First are on-hand to give free fitness tests and training tips, while the world's leading trick-shot performer will be performing daily at the driving range.

The entertainment will continue into the evening with daily live performances from some of the region's best musical talents. Visitors can also carry on their celebrations at a number of Dubai hotspots, including Barasti, Bidi Bondi and Irish Village, with regular buses running from the tournament to those locations. To ensure a stress-free trip home, Nakheel Leisure has also partnered with the RTA to provide a constant flow of taxis to and from Jumeirah Golf Estates.

The Championship Village is open daily from 10:00am - 9:00pm and open to Dubai World Championship ticket-holders only; fans can pre-register for free tickets online.
