Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis to organize the Dubai International Air Chiefs Conference

Under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, and with special support from the UAE Air Force and Air Defense, the Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis, INEGMA will organize the Dubai International Air Chiefs Conference, DIAC, at the Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Center on the Saturday November 14, 2009.

INEGMA will organize DIAC for the fourth consecutive time as the official conference of the biennial Dubai Airshow.

DIAC will feature high level speakers like:
• Major General Mohammed Bin Swaidan Saeed Al Gamzi, Commander of UAE Air Force and Air Defense
• General Norton A. Schwartz, Chief of Staff of the USA Air Force
• Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, Chief of Staff, British Royal Air Force
• Air Marshal Mark Binskin, Chief of Staff, Royal Australian Air Force
• Lieutenant General Guisetti Bernardis, Deputy Chief of Staff, Italian Air Force
• Brigadier General Ibrahim Nasir Mohammad Al Alawi, Deputy Commander, UAE Air Force and Air Defense
• Air Chief Marshal Sir Glenn Torpy (R'td), Former Chief of Staff, British Royal Air Force
• General Jean-Paul Palomeros, Chief of Staff, French Air Force
DIAC will be attended by 25 official delegations headed mostly by their respective Air Chiefs who will come from various Arab and foreign countries. In addition there will be a crowd of diplomats and military officials as well as defense industry executives.

DIAC topics will include:
• UAV in Air Combat: Present & Future Operations
• Electronic Warfare in Modern Air Power Operations
• New Generation Training Aircrafts: Proper Requirements
• Air Power Support to the Land Component: Future Trends
• Air Power: Interoperability and Capitalization
• The Role of AEW&C and Air Defense
• Network Centric Operations, Challenges & Solutions

DIAC is being held on the eve of the Dubai Airshow, running from November 15 to 19 at the Airport Expo. As the foremost aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing in the world, the show has attracted some 890 exhibitors from 47 countries and is expecting some 50,000 visitors.

Alison Weller, Director of airshow organiser F&E Aerospace, said: "DIAC is a significant conference in the aerospace calendar and a complementary event of the Dubai Airshow, to which we are very pleased to welcome the world's top air chiefs."
