EEA continues its explanatory tour around GCC countries

Dr. Abdullah Al Amiri, secretary-general of the Emirates Energy Award (EEA) has met with His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of the award explanatory tour in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
H.E. Dr. Mirza expressed his deep appreciation for the award, which comes under a noble patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. He also appreciated the devoted efforts to make a success that would contribute in the energy management and preservation which will help in achieving the desired sustainable development.
The award aims to disseminate regional awareness about the importance of optimal use of energy to reach a clear policy in energy management and preservation in order to achieve the sustainable development. In addition to, explaining the best practices implemented in energy management and preservation through a review of innovative projects with significant impact on the Middle East.
It should be noted that the deadline for submitting nominations for the Emirates Energy Award which is organized by Dubai Quality Group is December 17, 2009.
