Professor Anoush Ehteshami Dean of Internationalisation, Durham University, said:
"We are delighted to strengthen our links with the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding and look forward to working closely with HCT in many areas, including staff exchanges and joint programme development. We see this as a significant step in our drive to develop long-term, sustainable relations with such a dynamic partner institution as HCT. The HCT has made a considerable footprint on the UAE's educational landscape and we welcome the opportunity to enter into a fruitful partnership with it as we both look forward to responding to the exciting opportunities arising from the globalization of education and new learning environments. We anticipate a long and fruitful relationship and are very appreciative of Dr Tayeb A. Kamali, the Vice Chancellor, for his continued support in developing the link with Durham University."
"Opportunities for mutual exchange such as this one are invaluable." stated Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the HCT. "They provide great opportunities for our students and help us develop a well-educated and knowledgeable workforce in the UAE."
