ITIDA and the OECD host workshop on Global ICT Services Sourcing post crisis

An interactive workshop organized jointly by ITIDA , Information Technology Industry Development Agency, and the OECD will look at the current trends affecting the sourcing of ICT services in light of the economic crisis on 14 November 2009 at the Maritim Jolie Ville Golf & Resort Hotel, Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
The workshop brings together leading figures from Egyptian and international IT industries, global MNCs and advisory bodies, as well as international policy makers and senior delegates from government and business.
In conjunction with, and preceding, the prestigious annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) conference, the workshop will provide an overview of recent developments, the needs of the IT services demand side, and challenges on the supply side. It will draw out lessons for strategy and policy, looking at how the ICT industry has reacted to the downturn and the market shifts that will shape the industry in the future.
Key speakers at the workshop include: H.E. Dr Tarek Mohamed Kamel, Minister of Communications & IT; Nancy Thomas, Vice President, IBM; Kiran Karnik, Board Member NASSCOM; Detlev Hoch, Director McKinsey; Randeep Sudan, ICT Policy Specialist World Bank; Graham Vickery, Head of Information Economy Group OECD; Jon Theuerkauf, Head of Centers of Excellence Credit Suisse.
