The prestigious Superbrands programme is constantly expanding and currently running in a total of 84 countries worldwide; Oman is being included for the first time this year. A Superbrand is defined as offering consumers significant emotional and, or, physical advantages over its competitors. The Superbrand title was bestowed on Nawras by an eminent group of independent, voluntary experts from a diverse range of backgrounds, who make up the brand council in the sultanate.
"Being chosen as a Superbrand is fantastic because it is an extremely detailed and painstaking procedure that is involved to evaluate so many potential companies before reaching a final decision. Having been involved in the whole selection process myself, I can vouch for this."
Ross Cormack explained.
Commenting on the recognition, he said, "I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Nawras, when I say how thrilled and delighted we all are to receive this honour which acknowledges the dedication and professionalism of our entire team of more than 750 Nawras people who are delivering pleasingly different service to our customers every day. This further strengthens our resolve and mission to be the communication provider and employer of choice in Oman."
Nawras is no stranger to awards and earlier this year was named 'Middle East Call Centre of the Year', 'Middle East Best Career and Skill Path' and 'Middle East Best Retention and Motivation'. Previously Nawras was also lauded as Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year as well as receiving the judges' award for 'above and beyond the call of duty' at the World BSS Awards.
Nawras, a Qtel Group company currently covers 96% of the population with its reliable EDGE network and over 40% with its trusted 3G+ network.
