Dubai Airport Freezone-based Hadid International to expand in UAE, open more Gulf offices

The aviation services business is one of the enterprises least affected by the current worldwide financial crisis, according to a top executive of Hadid International Services.

Hadid, a pioneer in the flight services started providing globally flight support services in 1981. Hadid has been operating out of the Dubai Airport Freezone since 2003 servicing flight support requirements of major airlines, air charter companies, cargo and passenger flight operations, ambulance flight operators and government flight operations.

The company is the world's leading provider of on-demand aviation services, a complete flight planning company in the aviation industry. Hadid has been internationally certified to obtain over-flight and landing permits.

Hadid can settle the navigational charges on behalf of the company it represents along with the refueling and handling of their aircraft, hotel reservation and transportation arrangement around the globe. In addition weather forecasts, computerized flight plans, and ATC flight plans are also available. Hadid is a member of industry associations such as EBAA, IATA and TIACA.

Mr. Issa Zuriqi, Regional Manager of Hadid International Services said because of Dubai's strategic role in the Gulf as a commercial and business hub Hadid's headquarters is in Dubai Airport Freezone, "We have a huge setup in Syria, and offices in Germany, UK, Russia, US, Algeria, Iran, Libya and Pakistan. Our proximity to a market such as Saudi Arabia is important as there are a lot of private jets in Saudi."

He added that apart from charter flights and business aviation, Hadid also deals in cargo, "Not only is our business the least affected by the financial crisis. Business has actually picked up in the last two months and we are planning to expand in Dubai and open up offices in other Gulf countries."

Mr. Nasser Al Madani, Assistant Director General of the Dubai Airport Freezone, said:
