Fazal Ameen, Group General Manager, RoyalCine commented:
"As a new company, we wanted to bring the most entertaining and exciting experiences to our viewers. These first four units from Sony Professional will allow us to offer the ultimate digital cinema experience to our valued guests and we have plans to purchase another 10 projectors in the next two years."
Muhammad Nasir Ali, CTO, Pal Computer Systems added, "HD TV is already available in homes and now is the time to equip cinemas with the digital experience. Sony Professional's CineAlta 4K digital systems provide outstanding image and sound quality and we are eager to install the solution in all of our cinemas. This will bring a totally new experience to the cinema viewers and provide a competitive advantage to RoyalCine over other chains."
Hideaki Nakamura, Regional Director, Sony Professional Solutions Middle East said, "This really is an exciting step that clearly demonstrates Sony Professional's commitment to the long-term success of the industry while signifying a new era for digital cinema in this region. This agreement enables RoyalCine to capitalize on the enormous opportunities that digital cinema offers to strengthen and sustain its business, as well as to revolutionize the movie experience."
The four RoyalCine installations will be completed by early 2010. Delma Mall has a total of 14 cinemas, of which four will be for Digital Cinema, and the balance will have traditional cinema screenings.
