This is our second International Council for Shopping Centres award in 2009 and we are extremely proud to be recognised at such a prestigious platform

Muscat City Centre won a Silver Award in the Consumer Advertising category for its 'LifeStyled by Muscat City Centre' campaign. Competition was tough with over 109 entries from across Asia.

Ibrahim Al Qasmi, General Manager, Muscat City Centre, said:
"We are very proud to put the name of the sultanate for the second time on the world map in one of the most prestigious and important marketing awards in Asia. The award is a further testament to the global best practices applied to each and every aspect of the Centre."

The award winning advertising promotion was launched in 2008 to promote the mall's new brand positioning as the dominant "Regional Fashion & Lifestyle Centre" in Oman, when 62 new stores opened in the mall's massive extension.

The creative designed by Sabco Art was shot against the backdrop of Oman's beautiful landscape with the text: "Everything in the image, including the mountains is available in Oman".

It was instrumental in shifting the perception of the mall as the consumer identified with the new extended mall and its offerings in the Omani landscape.

Founded in 1957, ICSC is the premier global trade association of the shopping center industry. It recognizes the sector's most cutting-edge developments, innovative solutions and creative responses to market trends through its various awards honours. The Asia Shopping Centres Awards was introduced last year to recognize the region which is home to so many of the 21st century's most dynamic retail trends.
