Midex Airlines is part of Midex International Group whose turnover for 2008 was 8.9bn Euros (almost Dhs50bn).
"The Dubai Air Show is considered one of the most prominent shows specialized in the aviation sector, at both regional and global levels" said Jassim Al Bastaki, Director General of Midex Airlines. He added that the show provides not only opportunities for meeting with all the pioneers of the aviation industry under one ceiling, but also a platform for exchanging experiences and concluding transactions. "Our participation to the Dubai Air Show this year gives us the opportunity to present to the world the services that we provide, through direct communication with our strategic partners," he declared.
"Our participation to the Dubai Air Show comes after the announcement of setting up the Company in 2007 and the purchase of several aircrafts. It also comes after one and a half years after the launch of periodical journeys to seven destinations all over the world from our home base in Al Ain International Airport,"
he said.
The Director General of Midex Airlines said, "Within a short period of time, Midex Airlines was able to achieve significant success, due to an increase in the destinations that we fly to in order to cover active markets in the world." He declared that the Midex Airlines now owns a fleet of seven Aircrafts: six A300B4-203F with a capacity of 45 tons and one B747-200F with a capacity of 100 tons.
Al Bastaki emphasized that this success wouldn't have been achieved without the constant advice of the Midex Airlines President, Dr. Issam KHAIRALLAH, and the constant support of the Civil Aviation Authority in Dubai, together with the Abu Dhabi Airports Company, who have always done all possible to enhance the status of Al Ain Airport as an International Airport.
He also said that Midex Airlines, through its participation in the activities of the current Dubai Air Show, is determined to uncover a number of several transactions that will be concluded with several global companies. "The actual market situation requires the Company to go forward and expand its presence at both regional and global levels, by increasing the number of the destinations we reach and by raising the volume of both our fleet and our investments in the aviation sector in general."
