Qatar Tourism Authority has participated in WTM for many years. Commenting on QTA's participation, Mr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority, said:
"For Qatar, the World Travel Market in London is one of the best platforms for developing relationships in the international travel trade and for telling the world about Qatar's role as a bridge between tradition and innovation and as a premiere destination for business, sports and education tourism, complimented by upscale leisure. As a market, the United Kingdom is very important to Qatar."

Few countries enjoy as special a relationship as Qatar and the United Kingdom. The two countries are partners in energy, in investment as well as in tourism. Around 40,000 British tourists visit Qatar every year and nearly 11,000 British nationals live in Qatar. Sports are also a common passion shared between the two countries. The Qatar Football Association has arranged a highly anticipated friendly match between Brazil and England on November 14 at the Khalifa International Stadium. It will be England's first game in Qatar.

Qatar Tourism Authority will promote Qatar to the UK and European markets, by focusing on buyers from the MICE, luxury travel and leisure sectors, among them conferences organizers, incentive planners, travel operators, and boards of tourism authorities.

Staged annually in London, World Travel Market (WTM) is a four day business to business event presenting a diverse range of destinations and industry sectors to UK and international travel professionals. The event is a unique opportunity for the travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business at one venue.

Qatar Tourism Authority will be exhibiting at stand ME3940, accompanied by companies in the hospitality and tourism industry representing the examples of high quality standards Qatar has achieved to become an upscale destination including the Museum of Islamic Art, the Doha Golf Club, several premier hotels and some of the country's top tourism organizers.
