Oryx to launch 'T Qatar'

Oryx Advertising, the publisher of Qatar Today, Qatar Al Yom, GLAM and Woman Today, announced the launch of a Qatar edition of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. The magazine will combine local and regional features with topical in-depth coverage, photographs and commentary from T to create a unique bilingual magazine in an Arabic-English format.

T Qatar will celebrate the country's rich culture and tradition as well as its modern outlook.

"With Qatar's cosmopolitan audience and vibrant art and cultural scene, there is a strong appeal for a title like T,"

said Ravi Raman, the Vice President of Oryx.

"Doha is joining the ranks of international cities and the launch of a world-class media brand like T: The New York Times Style Magazine is a natural progression. Major lifestyle and luxury brands are entering this region and T Qatar will provide them with the right platform to connect with the 'buyers of the best'," he added.

T Magazine is published 15 times a year and edited by Stefano Tonchi, the style editor of The New York Times magazines. T is a leading magazine and online site for style news. The T Web site features original videos including the 'Screen Test' series and 'The Moment' blog, available at NYTimes.com/TMagazine.
