Mashreq holds Emaratisation Open Day in Abu Dhabi in association with Emirates National Development Programme

As part of the bank's efforts to reinforce Emaratsisation, Mashreq organized an Open Day for UAE Nationals in Abu Dhabi in association with Emirates National Development Progamme for recruitment purposes across the branches, offices and other business units, to meet the growing demand of the banking industry in the Capital.

Emirates National Development Progamme (ENDP) main objective is to create job opportunities for UAE Nationals in the private sector and the reinforcement of Emarati's in the private sector is to be in leadership positions.

Essa Al Mulla, Director of ENDP, said, "ENDP's vision is to regularly support the youth generation of UAE Nationals and find careers for them in both private and government sector. We have successfully recruited UAE Nationals to work in Mashreq, which is one of the biggest financial institutions in the UAE. This clearly proves the possibility of UAE Nationals working in the private sector, which until recently was not even an option."

He added, "There are various successful career stories of UAE National in the private sector, which we have come through. This has greatly helped to overcome the old concept towards the Emaratis workforce, which portrays non-efficiency in the working industry."

Ali Moosa, General Manager - Abu Dhabi & Al Ain, Mashreq, commented:
"This collaboration with ENDP comes in line with Mashreq's commitment to Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision 2030 and the bank's strategic expansion plans in the Capital. Our vision is to be closer to our customers and provide a world class banking solutions, as we have a large customer base in Abu Dhabi. We have to be ready to accommodate the growing population in the Capital, through introducing of various employment opportunities that's resulted from our recent expansion."

This main objective is to ultimately place them in leadership positions within the bank's wide network."

She explained, "The Open Day was a success, it attracted many UAE Nationals to apply varying between experienced individuals and fresh graduates where Mashreq ensures to offer them with extensive professional training programs."

Mashreq is a lead player towards Emaratisation, setting an example by partnering with many local entities such as ENDP to promote and attract Emarati workforce to work in the banking field.
