BAE Systems' Regional Aircraft division will also be showcasing its Avro Business Jet, a luxury business aircraft, which has already been chosen by three GCC governments - Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi - which operate a mix of RJ70s, RJ85s and RJ100s for their regional VIP air transport requirements.
On static display will be an RJ70 which has been completed for Bulgaria Air with a modern, innovative mood-lit cabin with a double club 4-executive seating and dining and divan area, in addition to a separate 12-seat business class cabin for company support staff.
Simon Keith, Managing Director, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, commented:
"We are delighted to be participating at the Dubai Airshow once again. With Eurofighter and the RAF, we are pleased to be displaying the Eurofighter Typhoon, which is now the RAF's newest high-performance multi-role fighter, capable of deployment in a wide range of roles, including air defence and ground attack. One of the RAF's display pilots, Squadron Leader Scott Loughran, will be putting a Eurofighter Typhoon through its paces in what promises to be a spectacular demonstration during the show.
"Our Regional Aircraft division will be of interest to anyone involved with commercial aviation. We continue to receive strong interest from across the region. Apart from Middle East attention, we also have eight operators across Africa flying 20 of our aircraft with another BAE 146-300 delivered just last month to a South African operator, Bionic Aviation. Given these aircraft's low acquisition costs and excellent airfield performance, we are confident that more orders will follow soon."
