Wataniya celebrates its 10th anniversary with the sponsorship of the Super Cup

As part of its tenth anniversary celebrations and under the title of Wataniya Super Cup, Wataniya Telecom the leading company in mobile services in Kuwait and the region announced its sponsorship of the Super Cup for soccer taking place on November 24th at the Khathma Club field. The teams participating in the Super Cup are Qadsiya Club (the Major League champion) and Kuwait Club (Champion of Emir Cup); organized by the Kuwait league for soccer Committee.

Wataniya's sponsorship of the Super Cup is one of the many celebrations Wataniya is holding in its countdown to its 10th anniversary and is an integral component of its social responsibility that focuses on constantly encouraging the Kuwaiti athletic youth. Wataniya believes those youth are Kuwait's solid pillars and are the bright future to look forward to and be proud of.

Both Wataniya and the Kuwaiti football federation dedicated all proceeds raised from the Super Cup's ticket to fund Bait Abdulla for the Care of Children with terminal cancer.
"The festivities of our 10th anniversary celebrations continue as we promised you, and here we are today celebrating the sports season with our customers and the people of Kuwait. We are very pleased to be the first sponsor of such an important event that holds a humanitarian purpose, helping the children at Bait Abdulla." Scott Gegenheimer CEO & GM at Wataniya.

In addition to the above, Wataniya will award the winning club with KD 10,000 and a special award to the best player and goal keeper.

From his end, the President of the Soccer League Committee, Sheikh Ahmad Al Yousef Al Sabah expressed: "We congratulate Wataniya on its 10th anniversary, and are delighted to offer our modest appreciation to this generous company that has continuously provided its support to make all Kuwaiti sport events a great success. Wataniya has not only excelled in delivering the best and unique services to its customers, but has also succeeded in planting the love of sports in Kuwait's youth and strived to encourage them and back them up in all activities."

Wataniya's long history has left its footprints on all athletic events and activities; such as the Qadsiya Club and Arabi Club sponsorship in addition to sponsoring other sports like basketball, volleyball and many others. Wataniya guarantees that it will stand by its promise to help Kuwait's athletes achieve further successes.
