Thai to launch first class service from Dubai to Bangkok

On 01 December 2009, Thai Airways International will launch its inaugural First Class Service from Dubai to Bangkok. Starting 01 December 2009, the Thai Airbus 340-600 will depart Dubai daily at 2250, arriving 0805 the next day, featuring 8 First Class Seats, 60 Business Class Seats and 199 in Economy.

This is the first time First Class Seats have been offered on Thai between Dubai and Bangkok, and represents the airline's continued confidence in the region and its growing premium market segment.

Mr. Manan Boonyachai, General Manager UAE & Middle East welcomed the new service adding:
"There is a high purchasing power for Premium Class Travel in the region, and Thai Airways has always enjoyed loyal support from both Arab nationals and expatriate communities. There has always been high demand for our Business Class service, and with the new aircraft we are not only able to increase the number of Business Class seats offered to 60, but also introduce 8 First Class seats."

Thai's A340-600 First Class cabin offers 8 electronically controlled sleeper seats reclining to 180 degrees, with a pitch of 76 inches, complete with lumbar support and massage, leg & foot rest and personal stowage bin and almost seven feet of space in which to stretch out; Plus individual video monitor and telephone, video on demand, and laptop power outlet.

The First Class Cabin also offers one on-board wheel chair and handicapped accessible lavatory.

Complimentary Royal First Class Lounge access at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok

The Business Class Cabin will feature 60 seats with a recline of 170 degrees and pitch of 60 inches. Individual video monitor, telephone, and video on demand complete the facilities. The extended Business Class cabin enables families to be seated together, when pre-booking their seating preferences, and at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok passengers enjoy the comfort of the Royal Silk Lounge and Royal Orchid Spa.
