SPS appointed as the exclusive distributor of Olympus in KSA

Speaking at the reception hosted for him by Samir Photographic Supplies' Managing Director Sheikh Samir Al-Hindi; Executive Director, Saed Al-Hindi; Marketing Director, Omar Al-Hindi; General Manager, Mardig Jansezian and Business Manager, Ibrahim Sobh, he outlined Olympus' ambitious plans for the Kingdom, including greater cooperation between Olympus and SPS. Jose Ignacio was also interested in visiting SPS retail outlets, where he keenly interacted with the sales staff to get a first-hand feel for actual sales and the current market situation in KSA.

Samir Photographic Supplies has been appointed as the exclusive distributor in KSA for Olympus since September 1st 2009. Summarizing his visit, Jose Ignacio said: "In many respects, this visit has been a landmark in our relationship with SPS, and has strengthened our bond. While the world reels under recession, Saudi Arabia has remained mostly unaffected. The credit for this should largely go to the government and the business community, who have successfully built a market system that is insulated from such economic shocks."

A meeting to discuss Olympus' marketing plans and strategy was held in SPS Jeddah headquarters and was attended by key functionaries from both sides. A presentation of the company's sales and promotion activities on Olympus digital cameras was made by Ibrahim Sobh, Business Manager at SPS.
