As part of its visit to help employees stay healthy and prevent the growing incidence of lifestyle-related diseases, DHA held workshops for the Wasl staff on nutrition, exercise, and various kinds of stress and psychological issues.
Asma Abdul Rahman Bahasan, Head of Marketing at Wasl, said:
"Wasl is committed to creating beneficial workplaces through advocating sound health practices. The check-ups are part of our scheme to promote personal vitality. We strongly believe that our employees and the company can gain from this, as overall well-being reflects positively on performance and productivity. Our challenge here at Wasl is to encourage employees change their conditioned working patterns and adopt new practices for sustaining general health and well-being. We thank the team of experts from Dubai Health Authority for their services. We would also like to acknowledge our staff for supporting the event with their overwhelming response."
An increase in the complexity of tasks and diverse work styles compel the society to search for solutions to health problems caused by long working hours and habits. To help address these issues, DHA provides access to medical experts, if required, for employees with health problems.
